Whether you live alone, as a couple or with friends, there's no problem! StudyAssur's "Every" multi-risk home insurance policy is perfectly suited to life with a flatmate, and offers cover for up to 6 flatmates at the same time on the same policy.
We simply advise you to adapt the value of the capital to be insured for your personal belongings and those of your flatmates. StudyAssur offers you different levels of capital from €5,000 to €20,000 to meet your needs as closely as possible.
However, there are two possible situations within a shared property, whether furnished or unfurnished !
• Joint tenancy home insurance : Only one tenant takes out a home insurance policy for the entire shared tenancy. In this case, you must have a single lease for the entire shared tenancy, listing all the tenants. When signing up to the home insurance policy the main policyholder indicates the names of the various co-tenants on the joint lease.
• Individual lease shared home insurance :
Each roommate takes out their own home insurance. In this case, each roommate then has
of its own lease within the shared accommodation. In this configuration, we advise all tenants to subscribe to the same insurer in order to simplify the procedures.
