Who can be insured ?
Our home insurance offer is aimed exclusively at :
• secondary school pupils, students and doctoral students in higher education,
• apprentices or work-study students at a vocational school or high school.
Our policyholders must be aged between 16 and 45 and hold a valid student card or school certificate. You do not need to provide any supporting documents to take out cover, but you will be asked to produce your student card or certificate of attendance in the event of a claim or during an inspection by our services. Our "Study" home insurance policy is reserved exclusively for tenants.
What types of accommodation do we insure ?
The "Study" home insurance policy offered by StudyAssur to students is perfectly suited to meeting the requirements of all rented accommodation, whether CROUS, student halls of residence or private rented accommodation (private rental), requirements of all rented accommodation, whether CROUS, student halls of residence or private rental accommodation (rented by private individuals or through an estate agent). Whether you live alone in your home or have chosen to share, there's no problem! The "Study" multi-risk home insurance policy covers up to 4 flatmates simultaneously under the same policy (shared tenancy) or individually within the flat (individual tenancy).
There are two possible situations within your shared tenancy, whether furnished or unfurnished !
• Joint tenancy home insurance : Only one tenant takes out a home insurance policy for the entire shared tenancy. In this case, you must have a single lease for the entire shared tenancy, listing all the tenants. When you sign up to the home insurance policy the main policyholder indicates the names of the various joint tenants on the joint lease. In this particular case, all the joint tenants listed on the home insurance policy must have student status. If this is not the case, we advise you to take out our young home insurance
• House insurance for shared tenancy : Each flatmate takes out their own home insurance. In this case, each flatmate has his or her own their own lease within the shared tenancy. In this configuration, we advise all tenants to take out insurance with the same insurer, to simplify the process in the event of a claim.
